special workshop with visiting instructor Rob Montango
Before the monthly milonga hosted by Kalispell Tango, Rob Montango from Missoula will put on a workshop devoted to useful and fun circular tango moves: colgadas and calesitas. He also teaches the beginner lesson for the milonga, which starts at 7, after the workshop. ($10 for workshop, $10 for milonga) Don't miss tis talented and engaging instructor! Montango was a career martial artist for 30 years before his interest shifted to dance in 2006. He soon dedicated himself solely to the study of Argentine tango and never looked back. Montango travels often and has studied in America and Europe from master tango teachers. Montango has served as a headliner DJ for large festivals in Eastern Europe, Asia, and the United States, as well as performing at a few of them. His goal is to exchange knowledge with tango communities all over the world to gain a larger view of this fantastic art form.
