Kalispell Residents Invited to Adopt a Storm Drain
City of Kalispell More Info
Clean Water Starts at the Curb! Join the Flathead Lakers and City of Kalispell for an hour-long tour to learn about Kalispell's Adopt-A-Drain program - a volunteer program that gives Kalispell residents a simple way to help protect the lakes, rivers and streams we all enjoy.
During the tour, you'll learn why storm drains matter, how the program works, which storm drains near you are available for adoption, and what volunteers commit to do. You'll also learn how clearing debris from a storm drain can help reduce flooding and keep litter, leaves and other debris out of local waterways.
Curious about becoming an Adopt-A-Drain volunteer? Come check it out! Attending the training does not commit you to becoming a volunteer. It's an opportunity to learn more, see what's involved and decide whether adopting a drain is something you'd like to do.
If you decide to participate, you'll receive a full Adopt-A-Drain kit and a chance to win prizes.
For more information and to sign up for a tour, please contact Margarite Juarez Thomas at mthomas@kalispell.com or call 406.758.5705.
Come learn how a small action close to home can help keep our local waters clean.
