Birds of Prey ID Workshop at Wild Wings Raptor Recovery Center

Veteran Hawk Watch and Wild Wings volunteer Kathy Ross will be joined by Karen Nichols for a discussion about the Jewel Basin Hawk Watch and a review of key raptor field markings. They will be assisted by Wild Wings ambassador raptors, eleven of which represent raptor species that migrate through the Flathead in the fall, from American Kestrels to Peregrine Falcons, Cooper's Hawks, Bald Eagles, and more. Instruction will aid in identifying migrating raptors and enhance all your birding experiences. In addition, important conservation ideas will be discussed, from habitat improvements to window treatments, to help you support and protect our wild birds. You are welcome to stay after and meet Wild Wings ambassador owls. Wild Wings is located at 37 Panoramic Drive, Kalispell. This event is sponsored by Flathead Audubon and is free and
