Operation Christmas Child - National Collection Week
Individuals, families, churches, schools, and community groups across the United States can participate by packing shoeboxes for children affected by war, poverty, disease, and disaster in over 175 countries. Find an empty shoebox and pack it! Make it FUN by including a "wow" item, such as a doll, stuffed animal, or soccer ball with pump, and other small toys. Make it FULL by packing empty areas with school supplies and personal care items. Finally, make it PERSONALIZED by including a note and photo - often the child's favorite! By including a $10 per shoebox donation in the box helps cover processing, shipping, Gospel materials, and training local churches. After the shoeboxes are packed, drop them off at Easthaven Baptist Church or use the Samaritan's Purse Drop-Off Locator to search for local collection centers and hours using a ZIP code or city. Alternative Option: You can also build a virtual shoebox online year-round through Samaritan's Purse website.
